Ready, Set...Met Ball 2011

The 2011 Met Ball took place yesterday at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York, honoring the late Alexander McQueen. The venue was filled with likes of celebrities, models, designers in different length, shapes, and styles. Here are a few of my favorite outfits of the night.

Straight off the runway: Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2008 Gala and Studio Party

The lovely Christina Ricci showed off her sensual side in a backless Atelier Versace Fall 2008 gown. Ricci looks absolutely stunning, the embroidery detail to the gown gives a very gothic feel to the overall look.



Ugly Betty actress Becki Newton is all smiles as she poses in her purple printed Versace mini dress from the Fall 2008 collection. I love it. I must say however, that the print is very un-Versace.




Jane Krasinski looked uber sexy in her strapless figure hugging Versace dress.



Helena Christensen gives the cold shoulder in a lacey one shouldered Versace mini dress from the Fall 2008 collection.

Socialite Amanda Hearst also goes one shouldered in her bright pink grecian frock from the Spring 2008 collection.

DKNY Spring 2009

With the celebration of her 20th anniversary collection, Donna Karan delivered with style at Bryant Park instead of the usual the Stephan Weiss Studio. Nearly every piece was covered from boyfriend jackets to anoraks in all sorts as well as jumpsuits and miniskirts. Overall the collection reminded me of a rainbow ice cream, very delicious.
