Ready, Set...Met Ball 2011

The 2011 Met Ball took place yesterday at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York, honoring the late Alexander McQueen. The venue was filled with likes of celebrities, models, designers in different length, shapes, and styles. Here are a few of my favorite outfits of the night.

Straight off the runway: US Open Official Players Party hoste by Heineken

Tennis superstar, Maria Sharapova looked stunning in tangerine as she was photographed on her way to the event at the Empire Hotel last Friday in New York City. Sharapova opted for a symmetrical look this time in a ruffled slip dress from Stella McCartney's 2008 Pre-Fall Collection and accessorised with a boxed clutch and oxford pumps.

Lipstick Jungle star, Lindsay Price opted for a more formal look in a lace overlay frock from Tracy Reese's Fall 2008 Collection. The dress is lovely, but perhaps to formal for such a laid back event?

Straight off the runway: Doutzen Kroes

Dutch model and Loreal spokeswomen, Doutzen Kroes poses one two occasions at the Martinez Hotel during the 61st International Cannes Film Festival last month in Cannes, France.



Kroes channels a summer look in a white soft Stella McCartney dress from the designers Spring 2008 collection which she accessorised with a tan clutch, black heels and jade necklace.



Here the model sported the popular Lanvin ruffled dress from the Spring 2008 collection. Kroes teamed up the khaki colored dress with a Lanvin belt, black clutch and sandals.

ID that dress: Liv Tyler

The beautiful Ms. Liv Tyler walked the red carpet for the premier of her latest film, The Incredible Hulk, at Universal Studios on Sunday in California. The actress showed off her long legs in a beautiful rich blue Stella McCartney one shouldered dress which was accessorised with gold drop earrings and black heels. I was sorry to her that Tyler is to be divorced form her husband of 5 years. Make sure to check out The Incredible Hulk which hits the screens on June 13th.
