So say we all

If you know me at all, you will know that I am a huge sci-fi geek; to be more specific, I am a Battlestar Galactica fanatic. I am still upset at the way the series ended but that's off-topic.

Anyway, the creators of BSG made a spin-off; a prequel called Caprica. The show takes place in the future but despite the high tech gadgets and gear, many of the characters dress as if they came just from the 1960s à la Mad Men.

The difference, however, between these two shows is that whereas the characters in Mad Men are flawlessly styled, the characters in Caprica come off as a bit more worn; they are not perfect. The jackets are a bit loose, the ties askew, the pants don't fit juuuuust right.

Take Joseph Adama (played by Esai Morales.) He is a civil liberties lawyer who came from a poor family and loses his wife and daughter in a suicide bombing. He wears a fedora hat with a wide brim and two feathers.

His suits are usually a bit loose on him but they look stylish, wearable and more importantly, they look like what a lawyer would wear; nothing too fancy but subtly beautiful.

And that's what I love about the costumes. They reflect the flaws in the characters and the dark mood of the show. So although they have style, they might not care whether their clothes are tailored to a tee. Still, it is wonderful to watch.

Golden Globes: My picks

Tonight is the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards; where TV and movie actors come together to celebrate the best of 2009 (according to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.)

To quote Taylor from The Rachel Zoe Project: award show fashion is about "pleasing the masses." As a result we don't see many fashion-forward dresses on the red carpet.

However I have come up with my fantasy list of what the actors should wear on the carpet, masses be damned!

Carey Mulligan

I still haven't seen An Education (blasphemous, I know) but I have seen her rock the red carpet in quirky, fun dresses. She has an ethereal elfin look about her; so she can get away with wearing more avant garde clothing.

I chose her to wear this fun S/S '10 Gianfranco Ferré dress. Because Carey has such delicate features, I thought she should wear something a bit more edgy with strong shoulders and a cool print. It's not overpowering but it makes a strong statement.

Marion Cotillard

I recently became a huge fan of Marion's after watching Public Enemies last week. She is so gorgeous and an amazing actress. I'm in love with her. She has a great body so I think this S/S '10 Valentino jumpsuit would look really chic. She could let her dark hair fall around the shoulders and wear lots of diamonds. She would own the carpet. Anot many actresses would dare to wear a jumpsuit at the Globes (except for Tilda Swinton.)

Penelope Cruz

Penelope's obvious beauty usually outshines her dress, so I wanted to pick something a bit more subtle that would compliment her big eyes and that big, dark head of hair. This S/S '10 Nina Ricci is an interesting choice; I like the one-shoulder sleeve with the diagonal ruffle. And the slightly see-through dress make it sexy but not obvious. It's beautiful without being prom.

Nicole Kidman

Nic always wears figure-hugging, show-stopping dresses and this S/S '10 Miu Miu takes it one step further. It will show off her slim figure but the puffed up shoulders make it more fashion forward. I really love the blue, scale-like sequins.

Kate Winslet

I've always wanted to see Kate Winslet in something less matronly. She always goes for restrained glamour; and though she always looks amazing, I feel that she should go for something with more va-va-voom. This S/S '10 Lanvin dress has tons of glamour but also sex appeal with that slit down the leg. Lanvin was one of my favourite Spring collections and I think Kate embodies the sophisticated but fun woman the collection stands for.

Cameron Diaz

Cam likes to take chances with her clothes. Who could forget the hot pink Chanel from last year's Globes? This S/S '10 Nina Ricci would look banging on her body. I like the floppy bows, and the cute shoulders. It's quirky but glam.

January Jones

I've recently become obsessed with Mad Men. I bought the first season last weekend and became a hermit all week because I couldn't stop watching it. I just bought season 2 yesterday. God help me. January Jones (who plays Betty Draper) is a knock out. On the show she exudes old Hollywood glamour but in real life, she is more of a vixen. Last year she knocked it out of the park with a geometric Versace gown at the Emmys. This year I am also choosing Versace because I love the colour purple but I also like the cool sci-fi-ish pattern. It's a bit futuristic but sensual.

Tilda Swinton

Never one to conform to trends, Tilda Swinton can be counted on to wear the unexpected. Most people usually don't understand her style; but that's what so great about her. So I chose this S/S '10 Roland Mouret jumpsuit. The shiny blue will work well against her pale skin and peroxide blonde, short hair. And it just looks like so much fun to wear.

Olivia Wilde

I am one of those people who think Olivia Wilde > Megan Fox. She is a great actress and is super sexy but in a more natural way. She also wears hot clothes. I think this S/S '10 Alexander McQueen dress would be perfect for her. It's all about showing off the legs and the waist. It's futuristic but romantic. I think she would have a lot of fun wearing it.

Kate Hudson

Gold + Kate = party. We all know that woman loves to have a wild time, and she would have a ball in this sexy piece by Zuhair Murad. When I saw it, the first thing I thought of was Kate. It's young, it's flirty, it has a lot of cutouts to show off her body and it's not a prom dress. Perfection!

I am excited to see what the actors will actually wear to the Globes. Here's hoping it won't be too boring!

Anna and Dave

Last night, the Queen Of All Fashion, Anna Wintour, appeared on David Letterman to promote The September Issue. It was amazing.

I barely noticed Dave's questions because all I could do was stare at Anna's reactions. She would alternate between tight smiles and her cold hard bitch face. That woman gives the best bitch face. I love her so much. My favourite part is when Dave asked her what a person could get if they had a $20 fashion budget and she disdainfully replied "you could buy lipstick."

It's obvious that Anna wasn't completely comfortable being up there surrounded by people who are most likely on $20 fashion budgets, but she gamely answered Dave's questions and tried to make little jokes. Please. Get that woman back to the offices of Vogue so she can boss people around!

Another great moment was when Dave asked her what the fashion industry is doing during the bad economic times and she replied that she was going to be at a Macy's in Queens. Queens! Can you picture Anna freaking Wintour in Queens autographing t-shirts? It boggles my mind.

Oh happy day! I die!

Can't believe it's here....been waiting so long like this. Rachel Zoe, where have you been all my life? Finally, The Rachel Zoe Project Season 2 is premiering tonight! I think it's only in the U.S. though but that's what bit torrent is for!

Up until a few weeks ago, I have been in serious Rachel Zoe withdrawal. But then she launched her website and I signed up for her daily newsletter where she promotes her favourite products.

But you must watch this crazy, fabulous woman. I can't believe that it's taken this long for her to be on TV because she's so much fun to watch and her assistants, Brad and Taylor, are hilarious.

So for your viewing pleasure, here is a clip of this season!

Clear eyes full hearts can't lose

Girls: Rob Pattinson has nothing on Taylor Kitsch.

I'm not sure if any of you guys have heard of a little show called Friday Night Lights. Well let me tell you; it's my favourite show right now, only second to Battlestar Galactica aka the Greatest TV Show Ever. And part of the reason why the show is so great, is thanks to hot Canadian actor, Taylor Kitsch.
What does this have to do with fashion? Well, Taylor used to be a model for IMG and has modelled for Diesel and Abercrombie & Fitch. And P.S. have you seen those abs??

I've only heard of Taylor Kitsch through Lainey Gossip because Lainey is obsessed with him and the show. And then he appeared as Gambit on Wolverine: Origins. So last weekend I was in Best Buy and saw Friday Night Lights on DVD and like the impulse shopper I am, bought the first two seasons. So now I'm hooked. Not just on Taylor but on the show. Guys, it's an amazing show and I'm surprised why hardly anyone knows about it. It's not focused on football. It's about relationships, family and friendship. And the acting is amazing, especially Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, but the whole cast is superb.

And then there's Taylor. He plays the brooding, conflicted and ususally drunk Panthers running back, Tim Riggins. I think his long hair is my favourite part of him.

So if you want to see great TV and a hot guy who can actually act, watch Friday Night Lights!

Buy a piece of Zoe

If you've been a follower of this blog than you know that I am a huge fan of Rachel Zoe and her show The Rachel Zoe Project which I am happy to say is renewed for a second season.
If you watched the show you would remember that Zoe said she thinking about starting her own line of clothes and accessories. This was more than a year ago and I never heard a whisper about this actually coming to fruition. Until now!
People magazine has confirmed with Zoe that she is working on her own affordable fashion line which includes clothes, jewelry, bags and fragrances. Details about the line is still secret but I really hope that it reflects her style: glamorous and fun. Her motto is all about dressing up everyday even if you're just going to work or to a casual lunch; it's all about having a red carpet moment.
I really hope she does shoes because her taste in footwear is amazing; always super high heels (at least 5 inches) that really stand out.
For clothes I hope she does a mix of fun Cali wear like flirty dresses but also tailored suits that you can wear to work or to a party.

But my question to you is: Would you buy from the Rachel Zoe fashion line?

There are a lot of people who don't like her style specifically the bug sunnies, the leggings, the platforms and the flowy shirts; but Rachel understands that women have all kinds of body shapes and she doesn't dress her clients in just one style.

So I'm excited to see what she comes up with.

In other Zoe news, she is selling off a ton of her own jewelry on ebay and on the Decades Two website; so if you saw a cuff or huge ring you loved on the show it might be up for grabs. Check out the auction here. This could be your only chance to own a piece of Zoe!

Here are some of my favourite pieces up for auction:

Beaded cuff

Glass blue cuff

Chandelier necklace

Fringe choker necklace
Pearl cuff

Resin cuff
Snake cuff

Thank. God.

Fashionista is reporting that the Rachel Zoe Project is coming out with a Season 2 starting mid-next year.
Now I want to know when Season 1 is coming out on DVD.

The L.A. Times says:

I die. I die. Our favorite fashionista is coming back.

Bravo tells us exclusively that the network has ordered up a second season of "The Rachel Zoe Project," the behind-the-scenes reality show following Zoe as she styles celebs, keeps the peace between her feuding assistants and goes on mad vintage-store shopping sprees.

Production has not yet begun, but expect new episodes of "Rachel Zoe," produced by Original Media, to air in mid-2009.

No word yet on whether on-and-off-again rivals Brad and Taylor will be back, but as of October, when I last spoke to Zoe, both were still happily employed.

At the time, Zoe thought Taylor was getting "a bad rap" from viewers, who took issue with Taylor talking back to the boss lady. "Taylor's tough, she keeps me focused. She's there to tell me no, because I'm really bad at saying no," Zoe said. "But I need her to do that. I'd be lost without her."

Bravo also will be unveiling several new series on Thursday.

Now all the network needs to do is tell us when "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" comes back and my Christmas wish list will be complete. And that would be, as Zoe might say, "bananas amazing."

I can't wait to see Taylor and Brad duking it out over nipple covers and garment bags. And will Rachel hire a third assistant like she promised Taylor? Will Rodger be able to pay off all of Rachel's debt? I need these questions answered!

Rachel Zoe Project Ep.2: The flood!

This episode lived up to that greatness that was the first. We have a flood which caused hundred-thousand dollar dresses to be damaged, we have a fitting scheduled but a flight with options stuck in Tennessee, we have a sick Taylor and a harassed Brad. I new knew how chaotic it can be for stylists and their minions.
It's funny how Zoe represents the extreme superficiality in all of us girls. She wants to buy new furniture for a photo shoot a magazine is doing of her house, even though she just bought furniture two years ago. She redecorates an entire space with Fendi's home line Club House Italia (think $13,000 couches and alligator closets) because she's "bored" of her "old" furniture. Materialistic? Yes. Shallow? Yes. But damn it's fun to watch this woman shop.
Next week we get to see her go ape shit at Fashion Week. I can't wait!

Gossip Girl aroused me last night

Did anyone watch Gossip Girl last night? Ok. The way Chuck seduced Blair- I wish he would do that to me. It was oh so hot that it was the sexiest scene between two people that didn't even involve sex or kissing. Hello, foreplay! I only had time to watch it once, but believe me when I get home, I'm going to shut my door, turn off the lights and watch it again. From my bed.
The best part is when Chuck begs Blair to have sex with him just once, while her boyfriend, the Lord of something or other was in a different room. Beg me, Chuck! Beg me!

That episode was one of the best I've seen- definitely the best so far this season. The chemistry between Chuck and Blair was intense. These guys deserve an Oscar. Or at least an Emmy. Whatever. They were hot and I wish I was Blair.

Watch Rachel Zoe Project here!

I know, I know. I'm really becoming obsessed with Rachel Zoe and her addictive TV show. It's addictive even though only the first episode has come out. But bear with me and watch it and see if you don't love it!

Update: Ugh! YouTube pulled the videos!

Found: The bag that Taylor wears in Rachel Zoe Project

I have to admit that I've been re-watching The Rachel Zoe Project a lot. Ok, like every day. I just can't get enough of all the gorgeous clothes and bags.
Today I noticed this beautiful blue croc-embossed bag that Zoe's assistant Taylor is wearing when they go shopping at Decades. It took me about 10 minutes to find it because at first I thought it was a Mulberry Bayswater bag but I realized that the handle was completely different.
Then I remembered Naomi Campbell in the new YSL campaign. Ding ding ding!
It's the Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two bag!!
It features blue croc-embossed suede on the front, leather on the top flap and sides, and canvas trim on the sides. There is goldtone hardware along with two side button closures and a middle lock.
The inside has two open compartments and a third in the middle that is closed by a zipper.

It's a little bit dressy but can be worn during the day and it really stands out which I love.

Watch for the bag when Rachel and Taylor exit the store:

"I die" over Rachel Zoe

I have found my new obsession: The Rachel Zoe Project. The show premiered on Tuesday but I didn't get to watch it till today. And holy crap I love it. Rachel is so different on tv than the media portrays her. She's funny, she's girly, she has amazing style and best of all, she is passionate about fashion.

I think one of the best parts of the show is how crazy she gets when she finds a dress or bag or jewelry that she just has to buy no matter what the cost. It's fun to watch her go shopping for herself and for her celeb clients. You get to see gorgeous one-of-a-kind designer dresses like Valentino and Zac Posen and you get taken for a shopping trip to Decades, the best vintage store in the world, where Zoe picks up her third Birkin (which she calls a "Birk.")

But the other stars of the show are her two assistants, Taylor and Brad. Taylor is a stressed-out mess who takes out her frustration on newly-hired, ex-Vogue intern Brad, who dresses like he just came out of a Lacoste ad every day. Poor Brad gets yelled at when he's not getting the silent treatment from Taylor.

Also, Zoe's husband/"business manager" Rodger is in the show. His role is reduced to telling his wife that she shouldn't spend so much money.

We also learn that Zoe is thinking about branding her name into a line of accessories, perfume, home and clothing lines. So basically she would be selling bug glasses, caftans and 8-inch high heels but I'm sure they would look fierce.

I think what I love most about the show is how young Zoe seems even though she's been working in fashion for 15 years. She is still in love with her job after all this time and squeals like a girl getting her first designer bag whenever she sees something she likes. It's fun to watch and I can't wait to see more!

Rachel Zoe's best and worst dressed clients

The Rachel Zoe Project, which I've talked about before, premieres on Bravo Tuesday, Sept. 9. Most of us don't really know that much about it except that she dressed Nicole Richie in sack dresses (the two had a falling out and don't speak now) and her list of clients include Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Mischa Barton and, most famously, Lindsay Lohan.
So while I am interested in the show and in learning more about Zoe's personal life, I feel that I should be focusing more on what she dresses her clients in, whether they be beautiful or God-awful.

So I compiled a few of the best and worst-dressed ZoeBots.

Best: Anne Hathaway

Take this, Miranda! Anne has made the transformation from a teen queen to a A-lister with clout and wants the world to know it. This Atelier Versace ball gown shows us that she is an important actress with style.

Worst: Debra Messing

Debra looks like a frumpy mess. Did she just get out of bed and fling on this bathrobe lying on the floor? She looks awkward and uncomfortable.

Best: Keira Knightley

Thank God we don't see Keira's ribs in this cute frock. It actually looks like she has a waist and curves. She looks young in this dress when normally she looks like a 40-year-old.

Worst: Joy Bryant

We feel that this Pucci dress would give someone a seizure. The cut of the outfit is not flattering on Joy's body. Show us some skin!

Best: Jennifer Garner

This black beauty is a show stopper. Usually stylists don't like to dress celebs in black because the colour doesn't photograph well but this one stands out because of it's shiny details and ruffled hemline. It's not the most memorable dress but it's a safe choice for the red carpet.

Worst: Cameron Diaz

This dress is more suitable for Miley Cyrus. It's too girly and cutesy for a mature woman like Cam to be wearing. Plus all that red makes her look like she has a fever.

Best: Mischa Barton

Maybe Zoe read the bad press Mischa has been getting about her supposed cellulite and decided the actress better cover up her bum. It works. The dress is flirty and cute and totally appropriate for a young celebrity. Plus the Louboutins are killer.

Worst: Nicole Richie

Although Richie is no longer a client of Zoe's, Nicole still dresses as if Zoe was still her stylist. She never deviates from wearing those sack dresses which try to hide her boniness. We get that maybe a tight-fitting dress wouldn't flatter Richie, but we're tired of seeing the same ugly dress everytime she leaves her house.

Best: Lindsay Lohan

Normally Lindsay dresses with her boobs hanging out but this outfit is elegant but the pleats and ruffles make it fun. And at least she is wearing a bra.

Why I love Gossip Girl

Seems like Blake Lively's taken a page from Serena. Now that she's in a hit TV show that had a successful Season 2 premiere, the girl can relax and shop at Chanel. When something goes right in my life I watch reruns on my computer or at the most, buy a fashion magazine to celebrate. But Hell, if I were Blake, I would celebrate in style and buy up all the Chanel bags I could afford while my show was still on the air.
(Photo: WireImage)

90210 disappoints

I watched the two hour premiere of the Beverly Hills 90210 remake last night and I have to say that it was a letdown. Not only was I bored with the wishy-washy plotlines and the placid characters, the fashion was hideous. Now I know that those in L.A. aren't the most fashionable bunch, but I was still expecting at least Gossip Girllike clothes. Instead all we got was American Apparel striped shirts, short shorts and fake Chanel bags. Yes, the show couldn't even get brands to lend them accessories so the stylists resorted to putting the cast (who are supposed to be super rich) in knock-offs. It's too bad because this show has the chance to be really popular and there are so many characters that could have quirky and style-setting wardrobes. Instead the clothes are boring with trends that are almost dead.

Gawker feels the same way I do.

I really want to give this show a chance because many shows, including Gossip Girl, didn't get any good until halfway through the season so I'm going to tune in again next week and hope for improvement. I only got excited when actor Ryan Eggold (who plays hunky teacher Ryan) appeared.
(Photos: The CW)

I'm sure that Chanel necklace and earrings are fake. If they have Naomi wearing a fake Chanel Cambon bag then the jewelry is faux too. And the jean top is so 90s.

Enough with the scarves already! I was hoping this show would be fashion-forward and now it will forever be stuck with bad trends. And that mini dress looks like a gust a wind could reveal more than I want to see.

Abercrombie or American Apparel? Doesn't matter. It's boring. Chuck would throw a fit.

This is their "club" wear. More long necklaces and mini skirts. How innovative.

Maybe this show does reflect reality; I remember seeing tons of girls in my high school wearing these awful dresses.

The Hills Season 4 ep.3 recap

On this week's dose of reality....

- Whitney tells Lauren that she's going to New York City to do work for People's Revolution. You can see the jealousy in Lauren's eyes when she says "Pack lots of luck" and smiles. Maybe she's jealous that Whitney is getting her own spin-off show, tossing Lauren aside like smelly designer clothes.

- Lauren makes a weird face (see photo) when Whitney mentions Doug. Finally she sees what we've all been smart enough to face: Doug is dumb. But Lauren, never make that face again. It scares me.

- Whitney gives great...no I can't. She gives really awful, TV-stereotype advice to Lauren on how to break up with Doug. "It's not you, it's me." Really? That's all the MTV writers could come up with? And were Lauren and Doug even dating? I thought they hung out a couple times and reminisced about high school. If that's dating now then I'm really out of touch.

- Spencer disowns Stephanie, his Lauren-loving sister. Evil quota filled.

- The People's Revolution office in NYC is so much hipper than the dump they have in L.A. Cue shots of" typical" New Yorkers wearing all black and skinny jeans with towering heels.

- Kelly Cutrone blasts Whitney for being late the minute she steps inside. I actually cowered in my seat. Poor Whitney looked scared shitless and stammered cute excuses. But Kelly makes it up to her when she tells Whitney to get to work. Work being telling male models to take off their clothes.

- Whitney keeps exhaling heavily while she's surrounded by all the men. I bet she hasn't talked to a guy since the show started. But I would be hperventilating too if I were surrounded by ab-alicious men.

- Kelly Cutrone is awesome because she tries to hook Whitney up with a hot model. I like her more and more each episodes.

- The Devil doth speaketh: "The day I'll be friends with Stephanie again is the day I'll be friends with Lauren Conrad." She-Devil gives him a sad face. Is Heidi starting to regret ditching Lauren?
- Lauren and Brody go out to eat and they flirt with each other as usual but nothing happens. Except Brody jokes about seeing her naked which is funny when you see her scared reaction.

- Whitney meets up with Alex (hot model) and Kelly bails on them. Wow, no one saw that set up coming!

- You know things are bad for the show when a conversation between Lauren and Stephanie about whether Steph's pet is a guinea pig of a hamster takes up a whole minute of air time. I'll try to erase that scene from my mind.

- Whitney gets back from New York and tells Lauren all about it not noticing the daggars in LC's eyes. Whitney gets the hot models, Lauren gets dumb Doug.

- Stephanie brings Spencer gifts (for treating her so bad?) and it's funny when Spencer smiles with actual happiness when he gets a book on the C.I.A.

- Lauren "breaks up" with dumb Doug and surprisingly he gets all offensive saying "I treated you like a princess" and "this hit me like a ton of bricks." Did he just read the cliché dictionary? Maybe the camera crew at his house should have tipped him off that this was coming. Well he is dumb Doug after all.

- Lauren drives off in the sunset while Doug goes back to eating for one.

Till next week!

Gossip Girl Season 2 Ep.1 recap

Warning: It's all one big spoiler so don't read unless you want to be...spoiled.

Ok here we go!

We open with a shot of the McMansions in the Hamptons with Gossip Girl saying "Sex, lies and scandal never take a vacation." And then cut to Nate making out with a blond in the backsteat of a girl. God, don't you miss being in high school? But thank God that guest houses were invented, so if you get bored of having sex in a car, you can just pop over there for some raunchy good times. And no, the blond isn't Serena, it's an older dame. A hot, older dame.

And then we come to delightfully sinful Chuck, who last time we saw him was ditching Blair for some decorator chick. Guess that fling didn't last after the first, erm, fling. Three smiling beauties who apparently don't know English grammar happily take off their bikini tops. There are children near by! What about the children??

There is even sex going on in Brooklyn apparently. Sin isn't just for the Hamptons! We see Dan making out with a random girl in the library while his employer reads aloud to an audience who is blissfully unaware of all the steamy action. After random girl leaves, random hot asian chick comes expecting a make out session but Dan has to go home to finish his unfinished story for his internship. It seems that Dan is nursing his broken heart for Serena by becoming the biggest man whore in New York City. I am oddly turned on by this.

Too bad Jenny isn't getting any action- well sex action that is. She has been spending her summer interning at Waldorf Designs under the tutelage of a bitchy employee. Jenny is trying to get a dress she made on the back of said bitchy employee, but all she gets in response to the pretty dress is "It's not even white, it's bone" and "If I'm going to wear a custom anything, it's going to matter." Damn, this show has the best lines. Jenny is then forced to match buttons as punishment.

Back at the Humphrey household, Dan struggles to write even a sentence of his story, which is supposed to be about his and Serena's break-up but the words just won't come out, he is so heartbroken.

Know who else is heartbroken? Chuck Bass. Once he learns that Blair is taking the Jitney ("What's a Jitney?" asks limo-loving Chuck) to the Hamptons, he shows up at the bus stop with flowers and an awesome bright red suit. But instead of being welcome with open arms, Blair falls into the embrace of a hot dude. Love hurts!

But even the rich must put aside their insecurities and eat together at the dinner table. Chuck quizzes James (Blair's new boy toy) on Blair's favorite movies, proving that only he knows the depths of her soul. Chuck also notices that Blair's heart pin, originally given to Nate when she told him she loved him, is on James's sleeve. Chuck's jaw tenses up' he is upset. Blair ends up taking the pin back which not even James notices.

Blair then chats up Serena and asks her why she hasn't dipped her fingers in some man chowder. But Serena is still missing Dan. I sense a reunion coming up.

Speaking of Dan, remember that story he had trouble writing? Well he didn't write and got fired from his employer. If only he could sort out his feelings for Serena then his genius would be restored.

The littlest Humphrey, that is, Jenny, makes nice with Eric (she was a raging bitch to him last season even though he was her one, true friend) and uses him to get into the fancy party so she can wear her custom dress and show everyone how talented she is. Hey, what are friends for?

Nate and his married fling move their sexual escapes to her house. These kids sure are frisky. Her husband comes home a week early and Nate is forced to jump from the balcony in his skivvies. At least he looks sexy.

Nate's ex, Blair, says the best line of the episode:"Damn that Mother Chucker."
Chuck gets suspicious of James when it's discovered the he has been lying about where he goes to school. If it's not Princeton or Georgetown then he must be a crook! He calls a P.I. (on speed dial) and does some digging.

And look who shows up! Dan!! In an unlikely turn of events, Serena's Grandmother from Hell, says that she has changed her ways, and realizes that her granddaughter's happiness is more important than her own. Has Lily been force feeding her Prozac? She and Dan proceed to the White Party. It always has to happen at a party.

Jenny and Eric are also at the party and Eric introduces her to socialite Tinsley Mortimer (who can't act out a white dress) and Jenny gives her bitchy employer the evil eye.

Nate wants to make his married concubine jealous so Serena kisses him as a favour...right in front of Dan of course. Dan says that nothing has changed, that the drama is still the same. Of course it is, Dan, this is the Hamptons! But then! Dan's two random make-out chicks appear out of nowhere (do people in Brooklyn get invited to White balls in the Hamptons) and bust him for playing them. So him and Serena are even and they get back together. Everything is all right in the world again.

And it turns out that James is actually an English Lord. Not an American Princeton/Georgetown lad. He says he likes Blair's honesty for calling him boring and he lied to her because he didn't want her to like him for his titles. It's a good thing Blair is not superficial...cough. Chuck doesn't stand a chance.

Jenny shows what a good person she is by turning down the chance to intern for Tinsley and continuing to work for Waldorf Designs even though everyone treats her like shit.

Chuck apologizes to Blair and begs her not to leave. But Blair wants to hear those three words that every woman wants to hear from their lover. Chuck doesn't get past "I..." and Blair leaves him for Lord James.

But at least Nate will be getting some action even though summer is ending; the married fling sets up a date to meet in the Fall. Maybe this is for real!

Chuck drinks his sorrows away and Dan starts writing now that he's back with Serena.

Till next week!
