The Hills Season 4 ep.3 recap

On this week's dose of reality....

- Whitney tells Lauren that she's going to New York City to do work for People's Revolution. You can see the jealousy in Lauren's eyes when she says "Pack lots of luck" and smiles. Maybe she's jealous that Whitney is getting her own spin-off show, tossing Lauren aside like smelly designer clothes.

- Lauren makes a weird face (see photo) when Whitney mentions Doug. Finally she sees what we've all been smart enough to face: Doug is dumb. But Lauren, never make that face again. It scares me.

- Whitney gives great...no I can't. She gives really awful, TV-stereotype advice to Lauren on how to break up with Doug. "It's not you, it's me." Really? That's all the MTV writers could come up with? And were Lauren and Doug even dating? I thought they hung out a couple times and reminisced about high school. If that's dating now then I'm really out of touch.

- Spencer disowns Stephanie, his Lauren-loving sister. Evil quota filled.

- The People's Revolution office in NYC is so much hipper than the dump they have in L.A. Cue shots of" typical" New Yorkers wearing all black and skinny jeans with towering heels.

- Kelly Cutrone blasts Whitney for being late the minute she steps inside. I actually cowered in my seat. Poor Whitney looked scared shitless and stammered cute excuses. But Kelly makes it up to her when she tells Whitney to get to work. Work being telling male models to take off their clothes.

- Whitney keeps exhaling heavily while she's surrounded by all the men. I bet she hasn't talked to a guy since the show started. But I would be hperventilating too if I were surrounded by ab-alicious men.

- Kelly Cutrone is awesome because she tries to hook Whitney up with a hot model. I like her more and more each episodes.

- The Devil doth speaketh: "The day I'll be friends with Stephanie again is the day I'll be friends with Lauren Conrad." She-Devil gives him a sad face. Is Heidi starting to regret ditching Lauren?
- Lauren and Brody go out to eat and they flirt with each other as usual but nothing happens. Except Brody jokes about seeing her naked which is funny when you see her scared reaction.

- Whitney meets up with Alex (hot model) and Kelly bails on them. Wow, no one saw that set up coming!

- You know things are bad for the show when a conversation between Lauren and Stephanie about whether Steph's pet is a guinea pig of a hamster takes up a whole minute of air time. I'll try to erase that scene from my mind.

- Whitney gets back from New York and tells Lauren all about it not noticing the daggars in LC's eyes. Whitney gets the hot models, Lauren gets dumb Doug.

- Stephanie brings Spencer gifts (for treating her so bad?) and it's funny when Spencer smiles with actual happiness when he gets a book on the C.I.A.

- Lauren "breaks up" with dumb Doug and surprisingly he gets all offensive saying "I treated you like a princess" and "this hit me like a ton of bricks." Did he just read the cliché dictionary? Maybe the camera crew at his house should have tipped him off that this was coming. Well he is dumb Doug after all.

- Lauren drives off in the sunset while Doug goes back to eating for one.

Till next week!

The Hills recap

On last night's episode of The Hills...

- She-Pratt is making a comeback! It's time for yet another drama-infested birthday party and She-Pratt swears to Lauren that the Devil (He-Pratt) and Lady Devil won't be there. Uh huh. Right. We all saw the preview!

- Lauren tells Stephanie that she has a new boy (boring surfer dude) and Stephanie immediately begins scheming how she can ruin Lauren's chances and get Doug to herself. She doesn't say this out loud but the "He's an athlete? That's my favorite kind of guy" speech hints that she is all over that.

- Doug, the boring surfer dude reveals more in his face than he should when he tells Lauren "love the white (of your dress) and then grimaces. It's unintentionally hilarious. Maybe I can like this guy if he keeps the funny facial expressions up.

- Spencer tells Heidi that he won't go to Stephanie's birthday party but we all know that he really wants to go, if only to make better TV full of drama. So of course they go.

- We're at the party in some new club with Lauren, Lo, Heidi, Spencer...I'm feeling a sense of déjà vu. Oh I know where I've seen this before, in the preview!

- Lo makes bitchy faces to Audrina and Audrina promptly leaves. You go girl!

- At a People's Revolution dinner, poor employee Jessica looks miserable. It's because Kelly Cutrone keeps picking on her and telling her she can't do anything right. Kelly is like the harbinger of death and she looks like it too with the black bags under her eyes and the greasy, stringy hair. But she still rocks. Whitney just opens her mouth a little and looks surprised the whole time.

- Back at the "party" and I put the quotes around party because this is the worst party I have ever seen. Everyone hates everyone else, Lo keeps rolling her eyes, Audrina stares at Lo, Lauren ignores the tension and Spencer says "can you get these obnoxious chicks away?" to Stephanie about Lauren and Lo. Then everyone leaves.

- Brody makes an appearance for two seconds. His hotness was the highlight of the show.

- Poor employee Jessica gets fired (we saw this coming last season) and Whitney takes her place. But Whit-Whit looks sad because Kelly Cutrone tells her she won't have a life. What, no more shopping Whitney? I wonder what role Lauren will play now.

- Lauren gives Stephanie the best death stare at school after the party. How can she trust She-Pratt when she said Devil and Lady Devil wouldn't be at her party? It's true, L.C. You really can't trust anyone, even the people you are only friends with for television's sake.

Tune in next week!

Straight off the runway: "The Hills" Season 4 Premiere Party Live From Malibu

This could possibly be the last season for the reality girls of The Hills. With that in mind, the premiere party went out with a bang and was aired live from Malibu. All of the ladies looked fabulous wearing dresses from Roberto Cavalli to Herve Leger. Suprisingly, Lauren Conrad looks very un Lauren Conrad in a silk Maxi dress from Roberto Cavalli's Spring 2008 collection, i like this chic boho look on her. Audrina Patridge glowed in a turqouise Julia Clancey halter and opted for messy beach hair. Heidi Montag, whose style i don't usually like, actually looked gorgeous in a figure hugging Herve Leger bandage mini dress.

Cast memebers, Whitney Port and Stephanie Pratt also attended. Port always hits it right in the wardrobe department at events and this is no exception. Pratt also opted for a maxi dress going a bit more glam in silver and white.

Run to The Hills!

To celebrate the Season 4 premier of The Hills on Monday, I've compiled a bunch of photos of Lauren and Heidi wearing their trashiest outfits while out posing for the paps, ahem, I mean "shopping." Audrina is exempt because she usually wears pretty cool clothes (I love the leathers) and Whitney i exempt because...well she never gets photographed. And Lo is a robot.

Boobalicious. This dress belongs in a wannabe Studio 54.

Is Heidiwood the town where all hideous clothes go to die? She looks like she should be pole dancing at the Cheetah with Nomi.

Not sure which is worse: The hair that looks like it's going to Prom or the crinkly costume that I wore in 4th grade.

Lauren isn't much better but at least she covers up her junk. Except you shouldn't be this covered up at the beach unless you are Michael Jackson.

I think I wore this top to a Much Music Video Dance when I was in high school.

She could be Rachel Zoe's prettier twin sister.
