Simply Chic

I wore this outfit for a dinner with my friend. After a couple of drinks and Cheesecake Factory's oversize Chipotle chicken pasta, we were so ready to relax and catch up on long overdue girls' talk. 

With this hot and humid weather, I love to wear shorts and sheer blouses--easy & breezy!

Girl Meets Boy

Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell from Solestruck

 I believe I am in a relationship with Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I just love how edgy and unique their shoes are. This is one of the most comfortable shoes I own.  However, on this day, I decided to pair it with my denim harem pants that I got almost two years ago from Victoria's Secret with a plain tank top. Of course, I had to add some hint of color with the blue blazer and the turban. For the turban, I used an African print material that I received last year from my mother-in-law. This outfit has a "tomboy meets girl" feel to it.

On another note, I hope you all are having a nice week so far. The heat is terrible here. I go through bottles of water in few minutes. Hopefully, I don't melt. :)
 Anyway, stay cool & hydrated.

Brighten my day

 This has been a fun-filled weekend. I went to two cookouts on Saturday. It was nice hanging out with my friends and co-workers outside our busy schedules. Then on Sunday, I went to a friend's bridal shower, which was beyond lovely--the whole room was filled with love.

I have talked about how much I love decorating; so whenever I am around a decorative piece, I love to capture it.

I started the day wearing my Jessica Simpson Dany platform, but later on, I switched to my Jeffrey Campbell flats

Within my reality

This week has been a busy week with school. Its like one case, paper, or assignments after another. I am really looking forward to summer break and a vacation.

Since the weather was warm a few days ago, I handed my camera to my friend Chioma to be my photographer for the day since hubby was at work.  It was fun playing photo shoot with her.

On another note, since the constant change in weather, I like incorporating boots to my outfits and there are great variety of women's boots that add a touch of color to an outfit.  You should check them out at www.very.co.uk for some great boots.

Now, I have to go back to my reality called school work, but I am so sleepy :)
