Red Carpet Style: Teen Choice Award

Blake Lively in Gucci Resort 2012--the color orange is definitely my favorite--elegant and chic!

Kim Kardashian looking amazing in Givenchy--Love her make-up and her hair pulled back

Selena Gomez in Erin Fetherston dress and Brain Atwood sandals--Love the gold with sheer drapes

Fergie flaunting her stunned legs in Dolce & Gabbana with Christian Louboutin heels--fun and appropriate outfit for the event

QUICK POST: Some of my favorite red carpet style from Teen Choice Award 2011.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
I am currently in Montego Bay with my hubby for our anniversary. New post with video coming tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Into the Blue

Is a blue fever and I got the fever for all things blue and denim. From runways to streetstyle, it seems like the denim is here to stay.

I love this denim shirt on Alexa Chung.

D&G S/S10 Campaign

I like the the mix of floral with denim--feminine with an edge--definitely my style especially with the boots.

Thoughts? Would you wear denim on denim?

The devil she doth appear

I just watched the Anna Wintour interview for 60 Minutes and it left me a little disappointed.

We see very little of Anna's creative process is making Vogue or her opinion of style and the recession.

What really comes through is how much of an influence she is in the creative process of all designers.

We see how she tells designers what colours to use for their collections (Dolce and Gabbana); we see how she picks which designers get to head which labels (John Galliano for Dior) and her complete power over new designers by featuring them in her magazine (Alexander Wang.)

It makes you realize that Anna Wintour really does control a lot of the fashion industry in all aspects. All designers owe their jobs to her and in return she controls them. Even Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere is scared of her!

It made me wonder whether that is really good for the fashion industry; the fact that this one person has so much power and is able to dictate her opinion to everyone and they obey.

But anyway, it was still fascinating to watch her. This woman scares me and I love her.

Straight off the runway: GQ Men of the Year Awards

Photobucket

Lilly Allen makes a grand entrance in a beautiful Dolce and Gabbana gown from the designers fall 2008 collection. Where i am in love with the dress, it just doesn't suit Allen, perhaps its the fake tan?

Photobucket

Thandie Newton covers the most popular trends of last season season, florals and artistic brush stroke prints. I love the colour combination and her heels!

Photobucket

Daisy Lowe looks all grown up in this sexy Giles black gown, which is a modification from the Fall 2008 collection. It looks lovely, but i prefer the runway version.

Photobucket

Liz Hurley shows off her amazing figure in a black Versace mini dress which is also a modification from the Spring 2007 collection.

New model on the block: Alana Zimmer

Was browsing Elmer Olsen Model Management when I came across this stunner who I know I've seen before in several RTW shows thinking she was Raquel Zimmerman's sister who shortened her name.
But guess what? She's Canadian; from the little small town of Kitchener, Ontario. Move over Brasilia!
Alana Zimmer was discovered while working at an East Side Mario's (who knew that we should be on the look out for scouts instead of eating pizza?) and had her debut in New York, Milan and Paris, walking for Proenza Schouler, Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel.
She's been on the cover of Numéro, in a Marc Jacobs ad campaign and has appeared in many editorials. In other words, this girl is f-in hot.

ID that dress: Blake Lively

Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively took the night off to celebrate NYLON's "Young Hollywood" dinner & party on Wednesday. Lively donned a delicate Dolce & Gabbana semi-sheer organza minidress worn with a very busy necklace and black heels. I think this dress would have been a ten out of ten if Lively didn't wear that necklace and let her hair down. But the dress really is gorgeous.
