Nina Garcia Out at Elle?!

WWD is reporting that the fashion director and "Project Runway" judge has parted ways with the fashion mag. No!!! What are we going to do without Nina's colums?? Wait a minute...is that why Joe Zee has a column now? Did he have anything to do with this? I smell a catfight! (Photo: Getty Images)

Natalia! Vogue! Testino!

I am obsessed with fashion magazines. I am also (almost) obsessed with model Natalia Vodianova. So when I found out that Natalia was going to be on the cover of British Vogue and shot by one of my favorite photographers, Mario Testino, I almost died of fashion-obsession overload.

I know there are a lot of people who aren't fans of Natalia. Unfortunately for those people, I will never be their friend. Natalia intrigues me not just because she has a beautiful, haunting face, but her personality is so endearingly sweet and her life story is a real-life rags-to-Cinderella.

Natalia grew up in the Russian industrial town, Nizhni Novgorod, where she helped her mother sell fruits and vegetables in a street market. Her family was very poor but when she started going to the local theatre group she met a modeling scout from Paris. The scout told her to learn English (she did) and he took her to Paris and she is now one of the top models in the world. But her story doesn't end there! She also met Justin Portman, an English aristocrat and one of the wealthiest men in Britain. She has given birth to three children and she still has the body of a 16-year-old waif. Jealous yet?

The issue also features a spread of Jessica Stam and Siri Tollerod. But who cares about them? (Sorry Stam and Siri lovers)

I also have included a video of Natalia from Style.com just to show you how awesome she is! We want her on more covers!

So here is the gorgeous Natalia on the cover of the May 2008 British Vogue. No need to thank me. (Photo: The Fashion Spot)

Last Day of FAT

Today is the last day of shows for Toronto Alternative Fashion Week.
A total rejection of the pretentiousness of L'Oreal Fashion Week, FAT offers a sneak peak of the next great talent that the country has to offer the fashion world. There won't be any stuffy magazine editors here! Go check it out at the Fermenting Cellar and the Distillery District. (Photo: Anna Ross)

I heart Victoria Beckham and so does Holt Renfrew

I don't really like the way Victoria Beckham dresses. I think a lot of the choices she makes make her fake breasts look like hard watermelons. However, I would kill for her bag collection. But she doesn't make bags (at least not that I know of); she makes jeans. Holt Renfrew is carrying her dvb demin line so now all of us can look like Victoria! Oh...wait. Maybe that's not such a good idea. I have yet to see her jeans in person but hopefully those of us who love Victoria's style and are not a size zero (ahem) can squeeze into them. Carla Bruni Naked for $91,000. Really?

Even though you could probably drag up a naked picture of France's First Lady on Google, or an old issue of French Vogue, someone bought a nude portrait of Mrs. Sarkozy for $91,000 at Christie's auction house. And who said there was a recession?
Maybe the buyer really didn't like the Dior clothes that she wore to England last week.
But even so, Carla couldn't compete with Gisele, who's photo went for $193,000. Maybe the non-First Lady models don't have to be so jealous after all. (Photo: Getty Images)
